The following article, Al Qaeda attempts to diss rival terror gang by releasing ‘blooper reel’, was first published on Freedom Outpost.

Talk about a poor use of a normally humorous medium.

Many of us can remember a time before the internet, back when VHS tapes were one of the most accessible ways to catch repeat performances of some of life’s most memorable moments.  The ritual of rewinding, fast forwarding, or even digging out the correct yet-poorly-labeled hunk of black plastic was part of the romanticism, the allure, of the video tape process.  There were, of course, rental stores where you could waltz in and hope that what you wanted to watch was actually available.  In small towns, you knew who to curse at under your breath when it wasn’t.

In those times that the latest release wasn’t there for the picking on the video store shelf, many of us acquiesced to grabbing some bonafide schlock from the wall.  For me, it was often a tape of “sports bloopers”, sure to make me revel in the idea that grown people were getting paid to sometimes perform feats of athletic majesty, while often winding up looking a fool.

Al Qaeda titled the blooper video “The Hollywood reality of al-Baghdadi group – Part 2,” referring to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The video is intended to mock Al Qaeda’s rival, as both groups fight for territory and loyalty in Yemen.

The video was posted by Al Qaeda’s Hidayah Media Productions, and The Telegraph uploaded it to YouTube on Thursday, reporting that the footage was produced in 2017 by an ISIS branch in Yemen.

And while many of us revel in the idea that terrorists do at time fail miserably, the fact that there are enough attempts made by these cretins to create these outtakes is something that could and should still haunt us.
